Wills “ECO” Barn

A carbon-neutral meeting venue

Just over a mile from Lakewood and situated in a stunning setting overlooking Blagdon lake surrounded by organic farmland and ancient woodlands, The Wills Eco Barn has been designed to provide all the requirements of a modern venue without damaging the environment.

The electricity is powered completely “off grid” by solar panels, rain water collection is from the roof and there is a state of the art bio fuel central heating system. The Barn gives delegates the opportunity to experience an alternative working environment for their meeting or training course.

Upstairs, the Chewton room holds 35 theatre style with all areas accessible for wheelchair users. Digital projector, screen and flipcharts are provided. Refreshments and lunch are served downstairs in the Barn reception area or outside on sunny days. Our chefs provide good, wholesome “picnics” for delegates to enjoy at lunch time. BBQs and Pig roasts can be arranged for summer meetings.

We have an 8 seater Landrover and other people carriers available to transport your delegates from Lakewood to The Barn.

We have recently been given a gold award from the Green Tourism Accreditation Team for the facilities at Wills Eco Barn, and currently looking into other industry accreditations and awards to put this unique facility on the events map.

We have several partner hotels and accommodation providers in the area, which we work with to enable transportation for your guests, our partners are listed here (link to partner page), please ask our sales office with regards to requirements for accommodation, as we can manage the bookings for you.

The facilities at Lakewood and Wills Eco Barn are fully accessible for wheelchair users, and other aids such as hearing loops can be arranged on request.
