A carbon-neutral meeting venue

Just over a mile from Lakewood and situated in a stunning setting overlooking Blagdon lake surrounded by organic farmland and ancient woodlands, The Barn@Lakewood has been designed to provide all the requirements of a modern venue without damaging the environment.

The electricity is powered completely “off grid” by solar panels, rain water collection is from the roof and there is a state of the art bio fuel central heating system. The Barn gives delegates the opportunity to experience an alternative working environment for their meeting or training course.

Upstairs, the Chewton room holds 35 theatre style with all areas accessible for wheelchair users. Digital projector, screen and flipcharts are provided. Refreshments and lunch are served downstairs in the Barn reception area or outside on sunny days. Our chefs provide good, wholesome “picnics” for delegates to enjoy at lunch time. BBQs and Pig roasts can be arranged for summer meetings.

An 8 seater Landrover is available from Lakewood to The Barn if delegates wish to leave their cars at Lakewood. The Barn is accessible for wheelchair users.
