All the meeting rooms at Lakewood have been carefully planned to provide the maximum flexibility and comfort. Our largest room Mendip is air conditioned and can cater for presentations up to 140 theatre style and for training courses to a maximum of 65 cabaret style.

It has an integrated digital projector, 12’ screen, sound system and can be connected to our or your own laptop for multimedia presentations.

The Cheddar room can accommodate up to 40 delegates and is equipped with a fixed plasma screen along with use of one of our in house laptops. It is air conditioned and provides a distraction free environment to concentrate on the business of the day.

Both the Burrington and Butcombe ; overlook arguably “the finest view in the South West”. A moveable wall allows these rooms to open as one or to be divided as two giving endless possibilities for workshops, informal meetings or training courses. Each room can cater for up to 20 delegates, with a capacity of 40 with the screen pulled back. A portable digital projector, screen and flipchart come as standard in our delegate package for these rooms.

The jewel in the crown at Lakewood, is our Lakeview Restaurant, with its panoramic views and contemporary feel, it’s the perfect local for any event, be it a wedding, dinner or social event. For a formal dinner we can seat up to 150 guests, or up to 200 delegates for buffets or hog roasts. The terrace room area doubles as our dance floor, and there is also the large outdoor terrace area to enjoy a drink while taking in the views and scenery.

As well as the facilities in Lakewood itself, we also have a unique meeting facility about 1 mile from Lakewood itself. Wills Eco Barn is the perfect venue for any event with some green or environmental theme. The Barn itself completed powered off-grid, by solar panels, and the central heating system is a state of the art bio-fuel unit. We also collect the rain water which is also used where it can within the facility. Fully accessible for wheelchair users, the Chewton Room on the first floor can accommodate up to 35 delegates.

As The Barn is set within its own land and ancient woodland, we can arrange other “green” activities, such as hedge laying, dry stone walling or foraging with our own in house conservation team. Alternatively we also work with some local activity companies and can arrange any kind of team building required.

The Wookey and Priddy rooms are perfect for syndicate break out rooms or for small interview or meetings for up to 12 delegates.

The Coffee Lounge is the perfect reception and breakout area, with its views and terrace area.
